Alice Caroline's shop grew out of a life-long love of vibrant Liberty prints. As a child she would pore over her grandmother’s stash of quilting fabrics, savouring the bright delights of each new print. Having completed a PhD in cancer genetics, She started to rediscover her creativity as a maker and designer of dresses, cushions, bags, childrenswear and quilts. Liberty of London Tana Lawn was a natural choice for her projects, with its fine weave, delicate and inventive patterns, intense long-wearing colours, and its traditional English heritage. Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in Liberty's Printing Mill in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it is perfect for both simple separates and spectacular statement pieces.
